Affordable, Hand-Crafted Ukuleles Built with Musicians in MindLuthier Rick Gerring began building ukuleles in 2009. A musician who hails from a long line of artisans and craftsmen, he soon discovered a demand for his instruments… and Rockin’-R Ukes was born!

Each Rockin’-R ukulele is custom-built by hand, using tone woods such as myrtle, mango, black walnut, Koa, zebrawood, rosewood spruce and others. Created by a musician for musicians, Rick’s instruments are built to be played as well as admired. “I try to stick with fairly simple designs,” he says, “and focus on making affordable handmade players’ ukuleles that look, feel, and sound great!”

Tenor ukuleles are built in the traditional guitar shape or “Kasha” style, and concert and soprano ukes are available in pineapple or guitar shapes. Prices range from $400-$600 for tenor ukuleles. Concert ukes are $275-$400, and soprano ukes are $200- $400. Contact Rockin’-R Ukes for more information!

“I now feel that my crafts are worthy of sharing,” says Rick. “I hope folks will enjoy playing my instruments as much as I enjoy making them.”
